The Rotary Club has applied for State Government \u201cPick my Project\u201d funding to install the fitness stations in Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff, and voting is now open.<\/p>\n
Club president Karen Pecar said outdoor gyms were open 24\/7, free to use and anyone from teens to seniors with any fitness level could use them.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe gym stations will focus on all areas of fitness \u2013 cardio, strength, mobility, coordination and balance,\u201d Ms Pecar said.<\/p>\n
\u201cOutdoor exercise also improves mental health \u2013 and what a place to exercise!<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have some of the most beautiful views in the world!\u201d<\/p>\n
There are more than 700 outdoor gym installations around Australia but none close to the Borough of Queenscliffe.<\/p>\n
The Rotary Club\u2019s project is supported by the Borough and local Bellarine MP Minister Lisa Neville. Residents within 50 kilometres of Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff have the opportunity to vote and support the project for outdoor gym equipment.<\/p>\n
Vote now at pickmyproject.vic.gov.au or through their Facebook page facebook.com\/ queensclifferotary.<\/p>\n
Voting closes on Monday September 17.<\/p>\n
