It may have been cold and windy for recent social bowls competitors on Mondays and Saturdays at Anglesea, but there are still plenty of hardy bowlers braving the elements.<\/p>\n

Winter has been warmed up inside the new clubhouse with the help of Ben Coyle and Peter
\nAustin, who are delivering a big lift to Friday night socials by giving the kitchen a work-out
\nwith excellent fare available to members and visitors. This will become a regular feature this season.<\/p>\n
Anglesea\u2019s new clubrooms are available for community and private functions, with
\ncatering available. Phone or email enquiries and bookings are welcome.<\/p>\n
The official Opening Day for the forthcoming season will be Saturday September 8, with dinner that evening in the clubrooms.<\/p>\n
As members start to return from warmer climates they will need to organise electronic
\nswipe cards for clubroom access. They will also need to get in some practice for Pennant, which starts in October, and they will need to make sure selectors know they are available. Anglesea is entering three sides in the Geelong Bowls Region\u2019s Saturday and Tuesday Pennant competitions.<\/p>\n
