WITH a very strong year across the board, we asked one of our senior netball players to reflect on the BHFNC Netball Program in 2018.<\/p>\n
With new recruits in every grade, Barwon Heads netball has strengthened its position in the league this year. Olivia Wilson took the reins as Head Coach again and has lead by example. This year we have two Under 17 girls who have joined our senior B grade team.<\/p>\n
They have found this a valuable experience and one in which has seen their netball reach new heights. With ages ranging from 17 to 40-plus, Barwon Heads has both youth and experience in its teams.<\/p>\n
With seven invitations to the League Best and Fairest and all senior teams making the finals, Barwon Heads has never been in a better position. The challenge now is to finish with premierships!<\/p>\n
With talent to burn, the juniors have also had a sensational year, with all teams also making it into the finals. With two \u2018Spirit of the Sport\u2019 awards and Charlotte Middleton winning a League Best and Fairest, and many more juniors polling well, our teams are looking to be strong finals contenders. Due to being able to field so many teams, there is always a spot for your child to participate and enjoy the supportive and positive environment.<\/p>\n
At Barwon Heads, we have many senior players who are coaching our junior teams. This is fabulous, as your child gets extensive knowledge of the game and pin pointed drills and skills to develop them to the next level.<\/p>\n
Auskick and Netta can be the start of your journey with Barwon Heads, being available in Term 2 at the club on a Friday night. With Senior training occurring on a Thursday night, the netball players then go up to the club to eat alongside the footy players and listen to teams being named.<\/p>\n
The feeling around the club is electric!<\/p>\n
