Beautiful day for golf, with the sun shining throughout the day, and it showed in the great scores that were posted. Of the 60 golfers to hit the course, it was Glen Lochhead [22] who came out on top with an excellent score +5. Rodger Licheni [18] was close behind on +4, which got him the runner up title. Nearest to pins on the day went to Murray Hunter (5th hole, 6.95m) and Andrew McCauley (13th hole, 2.60m), while the ball pool ran down the line to -1. Shout out to Gavan Clark who managed to eagle the 1st hole, which is a Par 4! Epic stuff.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday August 16<\/strong><br \/>\nThree-Person Ambrose off the Red tees for the Ladies in today\u2019s competition. Another great day for golf. Coming in first place was Team Bond, Turner and Trevena who finished up on 60.667. Fantastic effort. Runner up was Team Stewart, Hales and Bayard on 62.333.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday August 18<\/strong><br \/>\nStableford off the Blue Tees for Men and Red Tees for the Ladies. Wowee. Could we have asked for a better day for golf? Beautiful weather today saw over 140 golfers hit the course, which was in immaculate condition. Huge thanks to all the grounds and maintenance staff for managed the course perfectly after some difficult weather. The Men\u2019s competition was put into three grades. In A Grade, it was Luke Muller [1] who came out on top with an excellent score of 38 points, followed closely by runner up Brett Balloch [2] who closed out his round on 36 points. B Grade saw Chris Fryar [16] take home the choccies with an unbelievable score of 41 points! Best score of the day. Terry Beggs [15] came in as runner up on 37 points. Finally, in C Grade, Brad Gormley [24] took out the win with a great score of 35 points, just ahead of Domenic Lombardi [22] on 34 points. In the Ladies competition, it was Kaye Mann [32] taking home the title of winner for today, scoring 34 points, with Faye Hay [40] right behind her on 30 points. The nearest to pin on the 17th hole went to Susan Barrett (9.00m).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday August 19<\/strong><br \/>\nStableford Medley today, Blue Tees for Men and Red Tees for Ladies. Another fantastic morning weather wise, with the wind and clouds coming into play in the afternoon. Today\u2019s winner was Domenic Luca (12), who finished their round on 40 points, followed closely by runner up Brad Gormley (23), who closed out their game on 36 points. The ball pool for the day ran down the line to 33 points.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pro Shop News<\/strong><br \/>\nCome in and grab a polo top and get the second one half price. New PING caps and visors in store.
