THE Ocean Grove Community Association will reevaluate its future later this year following wavering committee membership numbers.<\/p>\n
At its Annual General Meeting earlier this year, secretary Phil Edwards said the association might soon get to a point where it is not viable without \u201cnew blood and new ideas\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cSadly our committee membership is wavering,\u201d Mr Edwards said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe intend to review where we stand at the end of 2018 and make a decision on the future of the association.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Edwards said the association had been a little less busy during 2017-18, but had discussed and responded to a number of issues that had or would have an impact on the Ocean Grove community.<\/p>\n
He said in regards to the Grubb Road duplication, latest advice from VicRoads was that they expected to complete their Planning Study by December 31 2018 and then proceed to some form of community consultation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Ocean Grove Community Association will be lobbying the current state government Member for Bellarine Lisa Neville and the other candidates for the seat for commitment to funding this important road work,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Mr Edwards said the association also wanted to energise a community-driven project to refurbish the existing walking track from Grubb Road to the Nature Reserve, built by the Rotary Club of Ocean Grove many years ago, which was now overgrown.<\/p>\n
