ST Leonards residents fear their beautiful little town is turning into a dumping ground for rubbish and disregarded animals.<\/p>\n
Suzie Whiteley took to social media last week with a photo of a huge pile of rubbish and the comment, \u201cI was absolutely disgusted and saddened upon seeing this down Ibbotson St yesterday\u201d.<\/p>\n
In the photo you can see used paint tins, tarps, a bodyboard, mattresses, doonas and old water cooler jugs.<\/p>\n
Comments followed, including, \u201cSadly this happens along Ibbotson Street and Harvey Road all the time\u201d, and someone asked, \u201cWhat is it rubbish or someone\u2019s house?\u201d<\/p>\n
Another said, \u201cI honestly think St Leonards is a dumping ground, surely locals wouldn\u2019t do this. I also see a lot of cats\/kittens that have been dumped too, sadly\u201d, while someone else said the crime rate had sky rocketed.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur little town is beautiful as are most of the residents who live here, it\u2019s just that handful that ruin it for the rest of us\u201d, another said.<\/p>\n
The City of Greater Geelong said it had not received any complaints of dumped rubbish as yet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
