PORTARLINGTON Golf Club\u2019s Carnival of Golf was a resounding success with about 1,000 golfers enjoying the course from August 25 to 31.<\/p>\n
Club marketing manager Fiona Boswell said this was the 21st year the event had been held and it was very well received by all who attended.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe course condition was superb and exemplifies why Portarlington continues to be in the top 100 courses in Australia,\u201d Ms Boswell said.<\/p>\n
Local lads Max Edmanson and Sam Beeston won the Bellarine Times 2-Person Ambrose event on the last day, which was fitting as it demonstrated the strength and growth of junior golf at Portarlington.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe would also like to thank our ongoing sponsors who have supported the event,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
