THE Victorian Government has helped secure a major international trade event, in a coup that will boost investment, create jobs and cement Victoria\u2019s place as the food and wine capital.<\/p>\n
Minister for Agriculture Jaala Pulford recently announced that in September next year Melbourne will host Global Table \u2013 the largest food business event ever staged in Australia, with more than 5,000 participants.<\/p>\n
Global Table will involve a series of internationally-focused business events that will promote Australia as the destination for investors and traders to connect with business leaders from across the Asia-Pacific.<\/p>\n
Attendees will enjoy a diverse program in Melbourne and across regional Victoria catering for a range of audiences including researchers, retailers, entrepreneurs, food buyers and investors.<\/p>\n
It will position Australia as an exciting destination to discover innovation, technology and new food products.<\/p>\n
Food + Wine Victoria will deliver the event\u2013 drawing on their expertise delivering the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival – which is part of the Victorian Government\u2019s $15 million Taste Victoria initiative launched last week.<\/p>\n
Organisers have already confirmed they will partner with Seeds&Chips \u2013 The Global Food Innovation Summit, the leading food innovation event worldwide.<\/p>\n
Taste Victoria will bolster the state\u2019s thriving food and fibre industry, and help Victoria grow its presence in the global food market and capture export opportunities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
