The days of playing in the Hundred Acre Wood have long since passed for Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor). Now an adult torn between work and his family, Christopher finds himself lost in his way. That is, until Winnie-the-Pooh (Jim Cummings) pops back into his life.<\/p>\n
As he helps Pooh search for his friends, who have gone missing, Christopher might just rediscover the fun-loving, childish side that lies inside him.<\/p>\n
This film is an absolute joy to watch. Seeing characters you loved as a child come to life in such a way truly is a treat. Having Jim Cummings reprise his role as both Pooh and Tigger certainly adds to the experience.<\/p>\n
All the actors do a really great job in their roles. Ewan McGregor excellently balances Christopher\u2019s serious and playful sides and throughout the film you\u2019re hoping he\u2019ll realise that work isn\u2019t everything.<\/p>\n
Christopher\u2019s relationship with his young daughter Madeline (Bronte Carmichael) is a particularly important aspect of the story.<\/p>\n
The father and daughter spend so long struggling to connect and it\u2019s only with the help of Pooh and his friends that they are able to do so.<\/p>\n
Hayley Atwell is also good as Christopher\u2019s concerned wife, Evelyn Robin, and her reaction to meeting Pooh and the others is quite entertaining.<\/p>\n
One thing I personally liked about Christopher Robin is that its message isn\u2019t about condemning work, rather serving to remind us that it\u2019s important to have fun as well. This is an important lesson we should all remember as kids and adults.<\/p>\n
Overall, this was a wonderfully charming film that the whole family can enjoy together. Kids can enjoy the fun it has to offer and adults can take pleasure in revisiting characters from their own childhood.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
