BARWON Coast will run two free community forums for all beach users during October and November.<\/p>\n
Under the Share our Shores \u2013 Respect Responsibilities and Rights campaign, the forums, titled \u201cBeach Harmony: Interactions with people, dogs and wildlife\u201d will encourage respect for all beach users, how to share our beach in harmony, avoiding and diffusing conflict and coping with fear and what to do in the event of an incident.<\/p>\n
Maddie Glynn from Barwon Coast said the forum was being delivered in partnership with Cherished Pets and Kevin Collister from Totally Proactive.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese forums provide valuable tools for all beach users to understand the diversity of both people and wildlife visiting our shores and be able to make informed choices to create a more harmonious environment for themselves, others, their dogs and wildlife,\u201d Ms Glynn said.<\/p>\n
The forums will be on Saturday, October 6 and repeated again on November 24 from 2pm until 4.15pm on both days.<\/p>\n
Both forums will be held at the Ocean Grove Neighbourhood Centre John Dory Drive.<\/p>\n
