{"id":15741,"date":"2018-10-03T09:29:51","date_gmt":"2018-10-03T09:29:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=15741"},"modified":"2018-10-05T01:07:19","modified_gmt":"2018-10-05T01:07:19","slug":"chorus-set-to-sing-into-spring-at-the-shed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/chorus-set-to-sing-into-spring-at-the-shed\/","title":{"rendered":"Chorus set to \u2018Sing into Spring\u2019 at the shed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PROUD once again to be part of this year\u2019s Senior Festival, Geelong Harmony Chorus will present an afternoon of fun and musical dexterity next weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Geelong\u2019s ever-popular women\u2019s chorus will \u2018Sing into Spring!\u2019 at Drysdale\u2019s Potato Shed on October 14 at 2pm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGeelong Harmony Chorus sings a cappella harmonies in the barbershop style, which is like the music in the Pitch Perfect movies,\u201d said Alex Morris, Geelong Harmony\u2019s musical director since 2012.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur concerts are so much fun\u2026 we take our music very seriously, which is why we have been winning medals at our national contests, but we love what we do and it really shows.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On stage will be the women of Geelong Harmony Chorus, and guest performers will be Around The Blend, a mixed quartet who recently competed in Adelaide in the Barbershop Harmony Australia national competition, and Cadence, a women\u2019s quartet who competed in Hobart in the Sweet Adelines national contest.<\/p>\n<p>Joining them will be The Violas, a local duet featuring two talented sisters, Jess and Aleesha Viola.
