LOCAL photographer Rick Knowles is\u00a0holding his first photographic exhibition at the Grovedale Neighbourhood House.<\/p>\n
The exhibition is on now until November 30 and features images from the Geelong, Bellarine, and Surf Coast regions from his 2019 coastal calendar.<\/p>\n
Although Rick has been a resident of Grovedale for only the past seven years, he has spent many summers visiting the Geelong and Surf Coast region, and lived in Geelong when he was a child.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love living near the coast, it\u2019s a great place to get away from the pressures of life and just relax,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Rick has always been a keen photographer, spending many hours in his darkroom developing photos before the advent of digital photography.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe emergence of digital photography and digital cameras has given everyone the ability to produce a great photo, but you still have to put in the time and effort to go out and capture the image.\u201d<\/p>\n
The exhibition is at the Grovedale Neighbourhood House, 45 Heyers Road, Grovedale and is open Mondays 9am to 12pm, and Tuesdays to Thursdays 9am to 3pm. Entry is free.<\/p>\n
