FISHERMANS Beach lived up to its name last Tuesday, with the Victorian Fisheries Authority (VFA) coming to Torquay to teach kids how to beach fish.<\/p>\n
As part of their Come & Try Beach Fishing Day, 50 children aged up to 16 were treated to hands-on clinics run by VFA staff and Torquay Angling Club Members.<\/p>\n
Fishing personality from Talking Fishing, Adam Ring, also explained the dos and don\u2019ts of beach safety and fishing from the coastline to a captivated audience.<\/p>\n
Children of all different skill levels participated, with a few lucky youngsters reeling in mullet and Aussie salmon.<\/p>\n
Event organiser and VFA coordinator for the Target One million program Craig Ingram said the day was a complete success.<\/p>\n
