IT\u2019S EXCITING times here at Curlewis as our open week is upon us! We look forward to hosting over 500 players from all over Victoria and nationwide. The course is playing magnificently with our first round of our men\u2019s club championship getting underway last Saturday. We hope everyone playing across our two landmark events have a wonderful out on course. Also we would like to give a shout out to Curlewis royalty Deyen Lawson on his impressive finish at the European tour event the Alfred Dunhill Links in Scotland.<\/p>\n

Sunday October 7: Mixed Stableford: 25 Players. Visitor Glen Finley (19) from Howlong GC was victorious with 40, outlasting Martin Frankovic (11) on 38.<\/p>\n
Monday October 8: Men PAR: 61 Players \u2013 A) Kel Ryan (33) needed the C\/B to distance himself from David Yelland (13) on + 4.<\/p>\n
Women: 19 Players \u2013 Julie Flintoff (10) was a narrow winner here with -1 from Di Smith 28) -2<\/p>\n
NTP: 8th \u2013 Denis Penny (2.5m), 17th \u2013 And Golden Shot Winner \u2013 Karen Egan (1.44m & $70)<\/p>\n
Tuesday October 9: Women 9 Holes Stableford: 17 Players \u2013 Pat Malloch won by 1 with 18 from Judy Scarrott 17 C\/B.<\/p>\n
Wednesday October 10: Men PAR: 120 Players. Doug Parkin (4) was back in form with +2 to win A Grade on C\/B from Michael Davies (11). B Grade went to Glenn Hopgood (15) with + 4 to hold out Bruce Sampson (17) +3. Andrew Pocock (23) also won by 1 with +3 from Bill Sommers (29) +2.<\/p>\n
NTP: 4th \u2013 Barry Eeles (2.34m), 8th \u2013 John Pentland (3.04m), 13th \u2013 Neville Corcoran (2.82m), 17th & Golden Shot Winner \u2013 Geoff Mays (2.7m & $100).<\/p>\n
Thursday October 11: Women Stableford: 59 Players. President Georgie Sanders (24) won A Grade on C\/B with 36 from Captain Wendy Tottenham (7). B Grade went to Bronwyn Hoskin (25) on C\/B also with 34 from Bernie Alsop (39).<\/p>\n

Saturday October 13: Men Stroke & 1st Round of Club Championships: 179 Players. A) Ray Drady (9) 70 just edged out Matt McFarlane (5) 71. B) Derek Kaye (13) won by 2 with 71 from Ziggy Witcombe (12) 73. C) Kristian Leonard (18) had the round of the day with 65 from Brian Halfpenny (19) 70. D) Kevin Leitch (25) 67 was 1 stroke better than Brian Olsson (21) 68.<\/p>\n
