CLIFTON Springs Primary School will receive $50,000 to become more energy efficient if the Liberals are voted into power at the state election next month.<\/p>\n
Candidate for Bellarine Brian McKiterick and his party has pledged to install a solar PV system and deliver energy efficient lighting solutions to tackle the school\u2019s soaring power bills.<\/p>\n
Mr McKiterick said Clifton Springs Primary School was a vibrant, innovative and genuinely student-centred school, but unfortunately it had been hit hard by rising energy costs.<\/p>\n
Principal Meg Parker backed the commitment, stating \u201cwe fully support this announcement as solar panels at our school will help reduce our energy bills and provide an opportunity to teach our students about renewable energy\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cSchools like Clifton Springs shouldn\u2019t be out of pocket because Labor wants to increase power bills and appease Greens voters in inner-city Melbourne,\u201d Mr McKiterick said.<\/p>\n
Mr McKiterick said the Liberal Nationals would get renewables right and help Clifton Springs Primary School to generate their own energy, meaning less money wasted on power bills and more being spent on education.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
