STUDENTS from as far as Western Australia and regional NSW are travelling to near Winchelsea next month for an exclusive three-day clinic at to learn the secrets of natural horsemanship from leading US trainer, Lee Smith.<\/p>\n
Lee Smith and her husband live in Arizona and raises quality quarter horses at their Diamond S Ranch. Lee has conducted hundreds of clinics throughout the US and Canada since 1991.<\/p>\n
Smith – who learned her craft from Ray Hunt, a guru in the field of natural horsemanship – will teach riders of all abilities how to unlock their potential and how to work in harmony through understanding the mind, body and spirit of their horses.<\/p>\n
She shares what she sees, as if speaking for the horse, and thus provides her students opportunity to observe the exchange of communication between horse and human.<\/p>\n
Clinics are conducted to prepare you and your horse for a greater level of performance.<\/p>\n
The Lee Smith clinic is being presented by Tess & Leo Quality Horsemanship, newly launched by Sally Wilson at her property at Buckley near Winchelsea from November 13-15. It will be the only clinic given by Lee Smith in Victoria this year.<\/p>\n
The new venture is a dream come true for Ms Wilson.<\/p>\n
\u201cI stumbled into natural horsemanship a decade ago when I bought the wrong and potentially dangerous horse for my daughter. A friend introduced me to a clinic in natural horsemanship and I was immediately hooked,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI couldn\u2019t believe how much calmer the horse was.
