Myalie Loveday loves her family and her passion is handcrafting unique original designed jewellery and creations.<\/p>\n
The owner of Silver Bear Designs, Myalie began her silversmith jewellery journey in 2011 when she summoned the courage to venture out to find her spark that ignited deep within her soul.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis guided me to return to study and love what I was learning and I knew I would continue to do till I was an older version of myself,\u201d Myalie said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter six months I was definitely hooked and my passion bloomed into something I knew I was destined to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
Myalie works with sterling silver, copper, brass, nickle, leather, wood, gems, glass and anything that will enhance her pieces.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy creations are a part of the moment and when a design is bought to fruition I find I just have to make it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlways I am looking for that elusive design\u2026 it is a truly satisfying feeling to fulfil my creative mind with such wonderful and beautiful ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n
Myalie said she loved to paint and her inspirations came from her love of studying the Native American culture.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are truly beautiful in themselves, their beliefs and way of life,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is where my ideas are born and I then transfer them to my creations.<\/p>\n
\u201cI endeavour to avoid being influenced by<\/p>\n
trends and preconceived ideas of what I, as a jeweller is meant to be.\u201d<\/p>\n
Myalie said a well handcrafted piece of jewellery, unique and timeless in design, should be made to last a life time, the craftsmanship should not only enhance the piece\u2019s attributes, but with age continuous compliments to the wearer.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy pieces when designed and created will find their soulmates,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe piece selects the person and I truly believe that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Commission and custom-made pieces are created with the utmost consideration to the brief.<\/p>\n
