A RE-ELECTED Andrews Labor Government has pledged to deliver funding for master planning for Clifton Springs Primary School.<\/p>\n
Labor will invest $500,000 for the school to undertake the master-planning process that will identify the facilities needed to cater for the growing needs of the school community.<\/p>\n
Member for Bellarine Lisa Neville said Clifton Springs Primary School was built in the late 1980s and had served the community well, but with the school ageing and the community growing there was a need to modernise the school.<\/p>\n
\u201cClifton Springs Primary is a great school under the leadership of Principal Meg Parker and Council President Chris Kowalik \u2013 I would look forward to working with them in planning and then rebuilding the school,\u201d Ms Neville said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs the Clifton Springs grows, this is an important step for the school to plan for the future.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis will give us a clear picture of what\u2019s needed and what upgrades we could undertake to make this school even better.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Neville said she had worked in close partnership with schools like Drysdale, Portarlington, Ocean Grove, Surfside and Bellarine Secondary College in their upgrades over the last four years.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut there is always more to do and it is why we have committed to rebuilding schools like Clifton Springs, Our Lady Star of the Sea, Newcomb Secondary College and a VCE Centre for Bellarine Secondary College,\u201d Ms Neville said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
