Dressed in a World War I nurses uniform, Maggie Stowers, from the Queenscliffe Historical Museum, spoke about the life of Bertie Devlin, a young soldier who\u2019s grave she had visited in France, and whose name is recorded on the Mannerim honour role.<\/p>\n
Local musicians \u201cBig Love\u201d were accompanied by Janama Cussens on didgeridoo playing \u201cThe Band Played Waltzing Matilda\u201d.<\/p>\n
Bellarine Landcare is calling for anyone who wishes to contribute their historical anecdotes concerning the memorial site or life of the Mannerim District, to get in touch.<\/p>\n
Stories will be recorded on a website, and accessed at the memorial through QR patches.<\/p>\n
