It is an evidence-based, bestpractice formula and is appropriate for all ages, which sets us apart from other gyms and physio clinics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTraining at Kieser is very different to a traditional gym because of our Swissengineered equipment, non-intimidating\u00a0environment and time-efficient programs that can be completed in 30 minutes, twice per week,\u201d Mr Wallace said.<\/p>\n<p>Kieser Australia \u2013 which was established in Melbourne in 2006 \u2013 has since expanded across 13 centres around Melbourne, Geelong and Sydney.<\/p>\n<p>Although the concept originated in Europe over 50 years ago, it is now revolutionising Australia\u2019s healthcare system.<\/p>\n<p>Working alongside sports clubs including the Geelong Cats, Kieser has developed a program with GMHBA designed to delay or prevent joint replacement surgery as well as improve post-surgical outcomes for clients with osteoarthritis.<\/p>\n<p>The 12-week program is directed by a physiotherapist and is fully funded by GMHBA for their members.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IN WHAT is an exciting step for the\u00a0Australian healthcare sector and\u00a0a new addition to the Surf Coast,\u00a0Kieser has officially opened its\u00a0centre in Torquay.
