The Villawood Properties project, a quiet, green-surrounded hideaway close to Armstrong Creek, launched its new Tract-designed park with games, giveaways and good healthy fun.<\/p>\n
Sprawling play equipment, a climbing net and quad swing, an imitation dried creek bed, a kick-about area, basketball half-court, skate wall, shelters and seating are just some of the new park\u2019s features.<\/p>\n
It is the latest in a series of top-line parks that are a hallmark of awardwinning Villawood\u2019s communities.<\/p>\n
The park was launched with super stuff for kids and parents: jumping castles, face-painting, singer Tay Piggott, a barbecue by the Grovedale Football and Netball Club, coffee cart and prizes including a Geelong Cats photo shoot, vouchers and movie passes.<\/p>\n
The Sanctuary playground joins a stellar list of parks by Villawood, including the nearby Armstrong district park and a pirate ship park at Point Cook\u2019s Alamanda community, one of the most famous playgrounds and tourist attractions in Melbourne.<\/p>\n
Kids can swing and skate, jump and dunk, and run, kick and climb in a array of activities designed specifically to provide a healthy play experience for kids.<\/p>\n
\u201cGreat parks are an integral part of Villawood\u2019s desire to help build communities, not just estates,\u201d Villawood executive director Rory Costelloe said.<\/p>\n
\u201cFamilies can interact with each other and build relationships through healthy exercise and social interaction.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur playgrounds are not for parents to say \u2018come on, let\u2019s go down to the park\u2019, they\u2019re for the kids to say \u2018Mum, Dad, can you take me down to the park?\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
