IN their latest expansion plan, K rock and bay 93.9 have announced that Geelong, Bellarine and the Surf Coast will have access to local news through a 24-hour news cycle.<\/p>\n
One of Geelong\u2019s most experienced newsrooms, the sister stations\u2019 growing news team will deliver live news services all day, every day out of their Moorabool Street studios from December 1.<\/p>\n
Breaking stories and emergency service announcements will be broadcasted quickly and accurately, keeping the community informed through an accessible platform.<\/p>\n
Geelong Broadcasters news director Rob Mclennan said the expansion was made possible by the radio station\u2019s recent move into the Moorabool Street studios fitted with the newest digital news and broadcasting technology.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur journalists live and breathe news and are totally committed to providing Geelong\u2019s only seven-day local, national and overseas news service,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
General manager Andy Mathers said the plan was exciting for listeners of the station and their team.<\/p>\n
