FC LEOPOLD has announced its coaches for the senior women’s team for the 2019 season.<\/p>\n
Cath Sattler will return next year alongside club president and player Mitch Vials.<\/p>\n
Sattler said she was thrilled to have been given the opportunity to coach the FC Leopold women again and was really excited to be co-coaching in 2019 alongside an absolute gun in Mitch Vials.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think the combination will be great, I feelwe are both on the same page in terms of the development of this team and after an unexpected season in coaching this year I thoroughly enjoyed the role, sometimes the universe decides things for us – change is good,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Vials said he was absolutely delighted to have been given the opportunity to work with Sattler and the senior women’s team for the 2019 season. \u201cI’m very passionate about coaching and am looking forward to helping the girls build on what was a great effort in their first season.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have no doubt that between us, Cath and I will be able to prepare the girls for what promises to be a really successful year for the club both on and off the pitch.\u201d<\/p>\n
FC Leopold appointed Gerry Desmarais last year to coach the club\u2019s first women\u2019s team, but he had to leave about four games into the season, so Sattler, who had just been told bad news about her knee articular cartilage, offered to take charge for the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n
The senior women\u2019s team finished in 6th place
