THE Portarlington and Drysdale Community Bank branches have injected more than $1.5 million back into their communities since launching.<\/p>\n
The Portarlington Business Development Association honoured the bank with its annual Business Award 2018 at its Christmas function at Portarlington Golf Club last week.<\/p>\n
The business award was in appreciation of years of generous contributions and outstanding service to the communities of Portarlington and Drysdale.<\/p>\n
Senior branch manager Shae Hunt said the bank was unique and for them to be able to give back as much money as they did was all because of the support they received from the community.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s because of you we have been able to give back over $1.5 million to the Portarlington, Drysdale, Indented Head, St Leonards, Clifton Springs and Curlewis communities over what will be next year 20 years for Portarlington and 10 years for Drysdale.\u201d<\/p>\n
PBDA president John Rae said he held the community bank in high regard, which he described as \u201cone of the jewels\u201d of the town.<\/p>\n
