RESIDENTS in Geelong\u2019s fastest growing suburb will soon have access to a range of high quality children\u2019s services when a new community hub opens in Armstrong Creek.<\/p>\n
Construction will soon be complete on the first stage of the $15.24 million Armstrong Creek East Community Hub, which will provide 92 child care places and 99 kindergarten places from January 2019.<\/p>\n
Armstrong Creek East Community Hub will\u00a0also provide four maternal and child health rooms, a multi-purpose room for playgroups, parenting programs and community activities, and an outdoor playground.<\/p>\n
The City of Greater Geelong committed $8 million to the Armstrong Creek East project, with the state government providing an additional $7.24 million.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the first facility of its kind in Armstrong Creek. It will offer child care, maternal and child health services, kindergarten and playgroup,\u201d Geelong mayor Bruce Harwood said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith so many young families moving to Armstrong Creek, it\u2019s important they have easy access to high quality children\u2019s services.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe city is investing heavily in children\u2019s services and community hubs, with centres being built or upgraded in Highton, Leopold, Drysdale and Corio.\u201d<\/p>\n
Child care operator bestchance will manage the hub\u2019s Armstrong Creek Children\u2019s Centre and is taking enrolments now. Parents can book places by phoning bestchance on 1300 224 644 or emailing enquiries@bestchance.org.au.<\/p>\n
