MEMBER for Bellarine Lisa Neville has described the behaviour witnessed during a beach party in Point Lonsdale at the weekend as \u201cnothing but disappointing\u201d.<\/p>\n
Ms Neville, who is also the Minister for Police and Emergency Services, said those found to have broken the law would be held to account.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn behalf of the community I would like to thank Victoria Police for their swift and decisive\u00a0response,\u201d Ms Neville said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is an important reminder for parents and their children to be more careful when posting about parties online \u2013 you do not have any control of who can turn up and if they will cause trouble.\u201d<\/p>\n
Police continued patrolling local beaches earlier this week after a number of teenagers were assaulted and robbed during the party on Saturday night.<\/p>\n
The event was advertised on social media, drawing people from as far away as Melbourne.<\/p>\n
