SCHOLARSHIPS totalling $7 million are being offered to students enrolling at Federation University Australia this year, with up to 50 types of scholarships across a wide range of study fields available.<\/p>\n
Driven by its support-focussed university culture, Federation University Australia will offer scholarships, bursaries and grants to students from all backgrounds.<\/p>\n
Vice-Chancellor and President Helen Bartlett said the university is proud of the opportunities it can offer to the next generation of leaders.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur support isn\u2019t limited to a chosen few students. Our support extends to the disadvantaged, those in remote locations and Indigenous students,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe also provide a High Achievers Scholarship up to $18,000 for VCE students who have performed exceptionally well.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur strong industry ties and assistance from government has allowed us to provide this extensive range of scholarships, bursaries and grants.\u201d<\/p>\n
Through this year\u2019s program, more than 20 foundation scholarships are available for disadvantaged and deserving applicants.<\/p>\n
Funds to cover costs including uniforms, computers, nursing kits and other essential oneoff items will be distributed to eligible students through a series of \u2018KickStart\u2019 grants.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur new range of scholarships are the most extensive and widespread we have offered,\u201d Jerry van Delft, Director of Student Connect, said.<\/p>\n
