THE Barwon Heads Sailing Association\u2019s first summer tackers sailing program on the Barwon River was a boatload of fun, with the 20 available places oversubscribed.<\/p>\n
Run by Sailing Australia \u2013 who provide all equipment, including boats and highly qualified trainers \u2013 the program was introduced to get kids aged seven to 12 out on the water to enjoy the joys of sailing.<\/p>\n
Hosted from January 21 until January 25, some children were tacking and jibing across the river within just two days.<\/p>\n
Support from Sailing Australia and Barwon Coast has led the BHSA to schedule the program as an annual event, with extended programs to cater to older children planned for this year\u2019s holiday season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
