OUR Lady Star of the Sea Ocean Grove hosted their inaugural twilight community event \u2013 Earth Fest \u2013 in Ocean Grove Park on February 15, which saw hundreds arrive for festivities.<\/p>\n
The event ran between 4pm and 8.30pm and featured amazing art, community and environment groups, food stalls and lots of live music, including headline act, The Formidable Vegetable Sound System.<\/p>\n
Event-goers brought their own plates, cups and utensils and volunteers\/staff provided the food, food scrap bins and wash stations \u2013 the aim to make it a waste free-event with a bit of effort from everyone was successful.<\/p>\n
People with their own plates, bowls, cups and utensils got 50 cents off their purchase.<\/p>\n
Sponsors and donors include Driftwood Cafe, Ocean Grove Hotel and Barwon Heads IGA.<\/p>\n
Principal Kerryn Sells said she was grateful to see their vision come to life in a wonderful way, and take action while building positive relationships.<\/p>\n
