AGRICULTURE Victoria is hosting a series of workshops to help new and existing small-scale pig and poultry producers prepare a land use planning permit application, including one at Colac next week.<\/p>\n
The workshops will provide producers with an overview of the supporting grants program that is offering up to $3,000 for eligible expenses related to on-farm works, consultancy and advice, or training that supports the preparation of a land use planning permit application.<\/p>\n
Producers must attend a workshop to be eligible for a grant, Agriculture Victoria will contact each participant to determine property specific details prior to the workshop.<\/p>\n
This will allow Agriculture Victoria to provide participants with farm maps and\/or aerial images. The workshops will also:
\n\u2022 Inform and educate small-scale pig and poultry producers about their planning requirements
\n\u2022 Provide guidance on the development of property, locality and nutrient management plans for smallscale pig and poultry farms to support a planning permit application
\n\u2022 Help participants to identify site improvements needed to support their planning permit application<\/p>\n
Workshops will be held from 9.30am to 3.30pm at:
\nColac – Tuesday, March 5
\nHorsham – Wednesday, March 6
\nTatura – Wednesday, March 13<\/p>\n
There is no cost to attend but places are limited for each workshop.<\/p>\n
