OCEAN Grove Coastcare will welcome nomination for its committee at an annual general meeting next month.<\/p>\n
President Frances McAloon said the group was looking for nominations on October 18 for the positions of president, vice-president, treasurer, secretary, and ordinary members of the committee were also being sought.<\/p>\n
People are also invited to join the group, which Ms McAloon said was a great opportunity to participate in a vibrant volunteer organisation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe group aims to enhance the natural values of the Ocean Grove Coastal environment through education, hands on projects and working in partnership with land managers, key stakeholders and the community.<\/p>\n
\u201cPlease consider joining, nominating or just coming along to the meeting.\u201d<\/p>\n
The group has also acknowledged the sad loss of John O\u2019Reilly, who recently passed away.<\/p>\n
\u201cJohn was an integral member of Ocean Grove Coastcare, our past president and vice-president, an incredible enthusiast for the natural environment and a man of passion, laughter and integrity who will be missed by his family and community,\u201d Ms McAloon said.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur sincere condolences to his wife Margot our stalwart Coastcare member, and to his family and friends.\u201d<\/p>\n
