Crowe Horwath financial adviser Connie Caccamo said the event on September 27 was not a seminar with Powerpoint, just expert advisers informally sharing what they know and the regular issues they come across.<\/p>\n

Connie will join Melanie Crowe from Vines Lawyers and Peta Walter from Bellarine Property, who will each share their knowledge, with more presenters to follow.<\/p>\n
Trends show that many women still leave the responsibility for the family finances to their partners.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the years I have noticed an increase in the number of women coming to me with funds from a property settlement having divorced their partner and having no idea what to do with it and not knowing how long that will last them, which indicates to me they have had no real involvement with the finances in their prior marriage,\u201d Ms Caccamo said.<\/p>\n
People also need to understand that our retirement years now last beyond 10-15 years, and are living on average to 85 and up to 95 years of age.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s 20-30 years of retirement that we need to fund!<\/p>\n
There are many financial things to learn and understand, and strategies that can be tailored to your particular circumstances, as no two people have exactly the same financial circumstances.<\/p>\n
