FIREFIGHTERS who worked hard to control the aftermath of an explosion at Mortimer Petroleum in Drysdale were the inspiration behind a costume Harriet Robertson wore to daycare.<\/p>\n
Harriet, 3, dressed up as a superhero firefighter during National Superhero Week for Muscular Dystrophy, which was supported by the Boorai Centre in Ocean Grove.<\/p>\n
In the early hours of September 7, the night before her daycare session, Harriet heard the emergency unfold near her house.<\/p>\n
She said she heard explosions and sirens, and was scared so went to sleep in her mum\u2019s bed.<\/p>\n
During daycare, educators spoke to the children about firefighters and how they worked hard to put fires out and keep everyone safe.<\/p>\n
