{"id":21559,"date":"2019-03-27T19:13:22","date_gmt":"2019-03-27T19:13:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=21559"},"modified":"2019-03-27T19:13:44","modified_gmt":"2019-03-27T19:13:44","slug":"nature-graces-surf-coast-art-space","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/living\/nature-graces-surf-coast-art-space\/","title":{"rendered":"NATURE GRACES Surf Coast Art Space"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Anglesea\u2019s community gallery Surf&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Coast Art Space has seen an exciting&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>transition over the last week, with&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>new exhibition \u201cBotanic\u201d proving&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>popular amongst locals in the area.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Showcasing a range of eco-dyed creations including scarves, textiles, prints and cards, the exhibition was designed and printed by friends Deb Elliott and Louise Price over 15 months in Anglesea.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by nature and the environment, the works feature soft hues, intricate markings and iconic Australian symbols including the gumnut.<\/p>\n<p>Gallery coordinator Cinnamon Stephens said the exhibition has received an overwhelming response since it<br \/>\nopened last Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeb and Louise have been working on this incredible exhibition for 15 months together in Anglesea,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBotanic has been hugely successful \u2013 it is like no other we have had before. The huge amount of eco-dyed textile scarves hanging around the walls is an absolute visual delight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeb and Louise are busy creating more stock on their two days off.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Artists Deb and Louise hosted an exclusive \u201cmeet the artists\u201d event on Friday, March 22 to commemorate their collaborative artistic effort.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition will be open until Sunday, April 7.
