{"id":21751,"date":"2019-04-03T18:09:31","date_gmt":"2019-04-03T18:09:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=21751"},"modified":"2019-04-03T18:10:15","modified_gmt":"2019-04-03T18:10:15","slug":"thought-provoking-exhibition-set-to-reflect-on-community","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/thought-provoking-exhibition-set-to-reflect-on-community\/","title":{"rendered":"Thought-provoking exhibition set to reflect on community"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A SENSITIVE and uplifting exhibition addressing a human rights issue that has led to political divide and deep community concern will be held in Drysdale from this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Mirrors of Reflection\u2019 exhibition will run at the SpringDale Hall at the SpringDale Neighbourhood Centre from April 6-14.<\/p>\n<p>Step into a chamber of reflections, gentle music, shimmering lights and artworks and experience this thought-provoking exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>Combining paintings, mirrors, sculpture, fibre, graphics and text, \u2018Mirrors of Reflection\u2019 challenges people to reflect on our humanity towards people seeking asylum.<\/p>\n<p>Created by artists from Queenscliff Rural Australians for Refugees, the exhibition is proudly hosted by SpringDale Neighbourhood Centre.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cArt has the power to open minds, touch hearts and challenge beliefs\u201d, Queenscliff RAR spokesperson Cathie Bond said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe invite members of our local community and visitors to the Bellarine to view this memorable exhibition and reflect on its beauty and message.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is open from 10am to 4pm daily.
