{"id":22613,"date":"2019-04-18T04:10:22","date_gmt":"2019-04-18T04:10:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=22613"},"modified":"2019-04-18T04:10:59","modified_gmt":"2019-04-18T04:10:59","slug":"fleetwood-mac-lovers-say-thank-you-gypsy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/living\/fleetwood-mac-lovers-say-thank-you-gypsy\/","title":{"rendered":"Fleetwood Mac lovers say \u201cTHANK YOU, GYPSY\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A Melbourne-based group of&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>musicians with a love for the&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>legendary Fleetwood Mac will be&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>heading to Queenscliff\u2019s 360Q on&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>April 27.<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen news broke of the band\u2019s coming tour around Australia, tribute act Gypsy \u2013 which is led by Stevie Nicks lookalike Peta Balcombe \u2013 couldn\u2019t refuse the opportunity to follow suit.<\/p>\n<p>Performing in front of diehard Fleetwood Mac fans for over a decade across countless sold-out tribute shows, the group plays many of Fleetwood Mac\u2019s greatest hits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany of the Mac fans that come along to our show have commented that we sound as good as the original Mac \u2013 that\u2019s quite a compliment,\u201d says Peta.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are honoured to be paying tribute to this legendary band and are humbled by such positive feedback.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe music of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac resonates to so many people I am very proud of the fine musicians that make up Gypsy 2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gypsy members Nina Finn (keyboard and vocals), Des Anthonisz (vocals and guitar), Michael Balcombe (lead guitar), Laurie Sprague (bass guitar) and Michael Finn (drums) each boast a demonstrated history in performing to large crowds.<\/p>\n<p>The six-piece band will perform at least 30 classic songs including \u201cDreams\u201d, \u201cRhiannon\u201d, \u201cDon\u2019t Stop\u201d, \u201cEverywhere\u201d and \u201cGo Your Own Way\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will be a wonderful opportunity for anyone to come along and enjoy our tribute to one of the world\u2019s legendary bands,\u201d the group said.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are $100 per person and include a two-course dinner as well as beer and wine.<\/p>\n<p>To book, visit <strong>360q.com.au.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Melbourne-based group of&nbsp;musicians with a love for the&nbsp;legendary Fleetwood Mac will be&nbsp;heading to Queenscliff\u2019s 360Q on&nbsp;April 27.
