THE annual Anzac Day clash today between the Portarlington Demons and Drysdale Hawks football and netball clubs marks a big day on the community sporting calendar.
\nFor about the past decade, the clubs have come together to remember those who have died fighting for Australia.
\nLarge crowds of supporters come out each year to mark the occasion and to cheer on their netball and football teams.
\nIt\u2019s a Demons home game this year, with the football reserves kicking off at 11.50am and seniors at 2.20pm, and netball senior and junior games both starting from 12pm onwards.
\nThere will be an Anzac Day ceremony at 1.55pm on Ron Evans Oval.
\nA half time president\u2019s lunch in the main room is also taking place, along with a grid match between Portarlington and Drysdale\u2019s under 11s junior teams.
\nThere will be a presentation for Best on Ground straight after the game on the ground and at 5.30pm a presentation of the Anzac Day cup in the main rooms.<\/p>\n
