GEELONG After Dark (GAD) lit up the city on Friday May 3, with this year\u2019s Heighten Your Senses theme embraced by all artists involved in bringing art to the heart of Geelong.<\/p>\n
One side of the Barwon Water building was transformed with gravity-defying skills from ACTNatimuk\/YSpace, while performers glided through animations created by students from Barwon Valley and Barwon Heads Primary.<\/p>\n
Johnstone Park played host to three sensory portals surrounded by dancers and musicians in an interactive and intimate experience of art.<\/p>\n
Geelong mayor Bruce Harwood launched GAD in the council chambers, which were transformed by artist and Deakin PhD student Anne Wilson with her work, If You Stay Where You Are, You\u2019ll Run Into Yourself.<\/p>\n
\u201cGeelong\u2019s reputation as a clever and creative cultural destination continues to grow, and GAD has again shown why it\u2019s such a popular event on our calendar,\u201d Mayor Harwood said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was great to see so many community members and visitors enjoying the light shows, art installations, performances and music on offer.<\/p>\n
