CELTIC CULTURE TO HIT PORTARLINGTON<\/p>\n
The National Celtic Festival will return to Portarlington tomorrow night to deliver Australia\u2019s premier Celtic folk festival. Attracting over 16,000 people to the region over the three-day long weekend event each June, this year\u2019s program features a host of international acts including The Young Folk, The Lumber Jills, Duncan Chisholm, Tim Scanlan Trio and more. A celebration of Celtic culture, the event has become a destination for families and friends to gather and embrace talent on the Bellarine. The festival will run until Monday June 10. Fleetwood Mac tribute show Gypsy will return to Geelong\u2019s Elephant & Castle Hotel this Saturday for an encore performance. Gypsy began back in 2006 and is the original tribute to Stevie Nicks and the iconic British- American rock band. Old favourites including Dreams, Go Your Own Way, Rhiannon, Tusk, Everywhere, Don\u2019t Stop and more will form part of Gypsy\u2019s set at the Geelong pub. Songs from Nicks\u2019 solo album will also delight audiences. Gypsy will perform at Elephant & Castle (158 McKillop Street, Geelong) this Saturday from 9.30pm-midnight. The event is free.<\/p>\n

AUTHOR ENCOUNTER AT QUEENSCLIFF<\/p>\n
Melbourne children\u2019s author Robert Gott will visit Queenscliff\u2019s Uniting Church Chapel this Sunday to discuss historical fiction and its timelessness alongside fellow author Jock Serong. Gott\u2019s The Autumn Murders is the third novel in the \u2018Murders\u2019 series of historical crime novels set in Melbourne in 1944. Gott is the author of 90 books of non-fiction and fiction. He is also the creator of long-running newspaper cartoon, The Adventures of Naked Man. Gott and Serong will venture to Uniting Church Chapel (83-89 Hesse Street, Queenscliff) this Sunday as part of Low Light Queenscliff. The event is free and begins at 1pm.
