COMMUNITY groups, organisations and landowners are invited to apply for a range of grant programs through the City of Greater Geelong.<\/p>\n
The city is supporting a wide variety of community interests and activities with grants through its Community Investment Support Fund (CISF).<\/p>\n
Applications for the next round of available grants will be received until August 2.<\/p>\n
To inform community members about the funding opportunities and to help with their applications, the city will host more grant information sessions this month.<\/p>\n
These sessions will be held at:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Geelong West Town Hall, Pakington Street, Geelong West on Saturday, June 15, from 10amnoon (RSVP by June 14 via https:\/\/grantsession6. eventbrite.com.au)<\/p>\n
\u2022 Courthouse Youth Arts, 60 Little Malop Street, Geelong on Wednesday, June 19, from 6-8pm (RSVP by June 18 via https:\/\/grantsession7. eventbrite.com.au), and<\/p>\n
\u2022 Potato Shed, 29-41 Peninsula Drive, Drysdale on June 22 from 10am-noon (RSVP by June 21 via https:\/\/grantsession8.eventbrite.com.au).<\/p>\n
The council is allocating more than $8.3 million to the unified CISF fund in the proposed 2019-20 budget.<\/p>\n
This includes $3 million for community infrastructure, with clubs on private land eligible to apply for the first time.<\/p>\n
The Central Geelong Heritage Fund would provide priority project grants of up to $70,000 to support the restoration of commercial heritage building facades in priority areas of the CBD.<\/p>\n
There are also general project grants of up to $30,000 available for other heritage restoration projects within Central Geelong.<\/p>\n
