CROWDS converged in Point Lonsdale and Queensscliff at the weekend to watch towering
\nsculptures ignite in a mass of flames.<\/p>\n

The Low Light Winter Solstice sculpture burnings on Saturday celebrated the day of the year with the least amount of daylight hours.<\/p>\n

The first sculpture – shaped like a lighthouse – was set alight on the Point Lonsdale village lookout, while another resembling a snowflake went up in flames on Queenscliff\u2019s main street.<\/p>\n

In consultation with a local artist, the unique and thought-provoking sculptures representing the towns and reflective of Low Light were erected, and on display in the lead up to the burnings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
