PORTZ Kebab Arama Coffee House is searching for a new location to operate from after closing late last month.<\/p>\n
After nine years of serving the Portarlington community, the kebab business was forced to move on after the landholder refused to renew its lease.<\/p>\n
Owners Alin and Bayram Cingoz were informed in May that they would have to close by midnight on June 30, which caused outrage among the local community.<\/p>\n
A total of 1,189 people signed a change. org petition to help save Portz Kebab Arama Coffee House, which was started by concerned resident Rebecca Kelly.<\/p>\n
But on June 22, locals came in to say their final goodbyes before the shop officially shut.<\/p>\n
Mr and Mrs Cingoz took to social media on June 27 to reflect on the end of a chapter which began on December 26, 2010.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have loved every minute of and spending time with a gorgeous community and the returning customers year after year for summer – we will miss you all,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you everyone for helping us make the kebab shop so successful.<\/p>\n
