Having performed to large crowds at festivals including Golden Plains, Boogie and Sydney Festival, Cash Savage and the Last Drinks are making waves across the Australian music scene. The Melbourne-based band will be joined by Ocean Grove songwriter Hollie Joyce. The epic live performance will kick off from 8pm at Anglesea Memorial Hall (1B McMillan Street, Anglesea). Under 18s must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Tickets are $35 per person and available via <strong>trybooking.com.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>SATURDAY 3\/8<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>IN THE GARDEN WITH JULIE&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>WEATHERHEAD<\/strong><br \/>\nJoin Peppermint Ridge Farm\u2019s Julie Weatherhead at the Anglesea Community Garden this Saturday for an edible native foods workshop. Author of \u201cAustralian Native Food Harvest: a Guide for the Passionate Cook and Gardener\u201d, Julie has over 20 years\u2019 experience growing and cooking Australia\u2019s diverse edible plants. Her research focuses primarily on the nutritional, environmental and culinary properties of these foods. The workshop will run from 11am-2pm at Anglesea Community Garden (5 McMillan Street, Anglesea) this Saturday. This event is free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SUNDAY 4\/8<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>HOME IS WHERE THE&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>HEART IS<\/strong><br \/>\nCatch Stacey McCall&#8217;s first solo exhibition at Boom Gallery this Sunday. Stacey\u2019s exhibition, Back Home, is a continuation of her relationship with home. Her still-life works \u2013 which are created using watercolour, gouache and pencil \u2013 pay homage to her childhood, with the artist painting 1970s inspired crockery and furnishings. In Stacey\u2019s artist statement, she noted the You Yangs, Otway Ranges and the Surf Coast as her favourite places to find inspiration.<\/p>\n<p>Back Home will be on display at Boom (11 Rutland Street, Newtown) until August 11.
