\nIntrepid photographer Elizabeth Turner kept them in sight, pulled up behind them when they stopped and opened their vehicle door.
\n\u201cAre you here with Fight MND?\u201d the driver was asked.
\nSurprised anyone knew he happily said \u201cYes\u201d and agreed to be photographed.
\nGeoff Fary, an Ambassador for Fight MND, had told the intrepid photographer that a representative would be in Portarlington to take some videos and photos in preparation for when Daniher\u2019s Drive comes to town in October.
\nDaniher\u2019s Drive, named after footy legend Neale Daniher, is a major fund raiser to find a cure for Motor Neuron Disease.
\nGeoff said it was a real privilege to have Portarlington as the first stop in this year\u2019s drive.
\nThe stop in Portarlington is Thursday October 10.
\nIt is also the day Geoff\u2019s late wife Monica Hayes, a champion for community participation, would have celebrated her birthday.
\nSadly, Monica succumbed to Motor Neuron Disease three years ago.
\nGeoff, his and Monica\u2019s son Sam, Monica\u2019s brother Bernard and Sam\u2019s mate Marcus will again hit the road as Team Monica Hayes and be one of the 100 cars on Daniher\u2019s Drive.
\n\u201cI encourage everyone to come to Portarlington on Thursday October 10 and show their support for this incredible initiative,\u201d Geoff said.
