SURF Coast Football Club held their annual Ladies Day fundraising event at Grant Pavilion in Banyul Warri Reserve on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Melbourne Victory defender Alexandra Gummer guest spoke at the event.<\/p>\n

Gummer was part of the Melbourne Victory team that won last season’s W-League.<\/p>\n

She spoke about the differences between women’s football in England and Australia, and also about what she felt the game needed to do to get more women involved.<\/p>\n

Surf Coast Football Club women’s side currently sit atop of their division. The club also has all female under 14 and under 12 sides.<\/p>\n
