BUDDING journalists at Leopold Primary School are producing their own newspapers.
\nGrade 6 students Jade Farago, Mia Lynch, Aleasha Teijeiro, Allie Irvine, Layla Sheedy and Remy O\u2019Hara are the brainchild behind \u201cThe Leopold Primary School News\u201d and \u201cThe Leopold Kinder Kids Newspaper\u201d.
\n\u201cThe Leopold Kinder Kids Newspaper\u201d will be offered to local kindergartens and includes information for potential pupils about the primary school, uniform and prep playground, while \u201cThe Leopold Primary School News\u201d includes sections \u201cPreps, 1s, 2s, and 3s News\u201d and \u201cGrade 4s, 5s and 6s News\u201d.
\nThe latter paper features all school events, what\u2019s currently happening in the school and what\u2019s coming up.
\nA couple of the girls have also written articles about their school for the Leopold Local, which focus on Book Week, the Indigenous Book Swap and the school\u2019s new building that is underway.
\nThe girls aim to publish a newspaper each term and will take some Grade 5 students under their wing next term to train them up.
\nPrincipal Mr Bott has the job of proofreading the paper before it goes to print, and copies will be available from the school office for $1.50 each.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
