SATURDAY night saw FC Leopold\u2019s seniors celebrate their third season in style at the Leopold Sportsmans Club.
\nFielding four senior teams this year saw a bumper evening packed with awards, thank yous and great food.
\nCath Sattler said a fantastic moment of the night was Emily Hamilton’s win of the 2019 Senior Teammate Of The Season.
\n\u201cThis came as no surprise to the entire team and coaching staff but was a complete surprise to Emily, who was absolutely gobsmacked,\u201d Sattler said.
\n\u201cAnother highlight was first time player Vicki King taking out 2019 Senior Player Of The Season.
\n\u201cKing, an accomplished basketballer, had made the transition to soccer seamlessly.\u201d
\nSattler said Bradley Smythe took out 2019 Senior Player Of The Season, with Jake Armstrong grabbing the 2019 R\/U Senior Player Of The Season, as well as 2019 Senior Teammate Of The Season.
\nSattler said retiring Stan Nangle took out 2019 R\/U Reserve Player Of The Season.
\nShe said all speakers talked highly of the wonderful culture at FC Leopold and great inclusiveness of the club, which was fantastic to hear.
\n\u201cMoves are already afoot in the preparation for the 2020 season and the entire club would like to thank all players and in particular all the many volunteers who continue to make the club the huge success it has been in its short three-year tenure so far.\u201d<\/p>\n
