LEOPOLD Uniting Church\u2019s Rainbow\u2019s End Op Shop will hold a Plant and Garden Sale next week, which will offer a variety of plants that require less water.
\nOp Shop volunteer Marie-Louise said the November 1 sale would include plants such as salvias, ground covers, pelargoniums, bromeliads, daisies and agapanthas.
\n\u201cPatio and indoor plants, veggies and herbs, and orchids (both large and small) will also be available.\u201d
\nAfter a severe storm forced volunteers and customers to hastily relocate into the church building last year, this year\u2019s sale will be held inside the church.
\nThe Op Shop, with its wide range of quality household goods, clothes, toys (and Christmas decorations), will be open throughout the day, while Estia Health Leopold will be selling crafts made by their residents – think creative and inexpensive Christmas gifts.
\nDelicious Devonshire Teas will also be available between 9am and noon.
\nLeopold Uniting\u2019s new minister, Rev. Kathryn Stoel-Cousineau, said she was impressed with the enthusiasm and support shown for the plant sale.
\n\u201cMany people, both from our congregation and those from the wider community, really step up to grow and nurture plants for this sale.
\n\u201cThe community certainly has come together to make this day a success.\u201d
\nShe said she was looking forward to meeting people at the plant sale and asked them to come introduce themselves.
\nShe also invited people from any faith background to make prayer flags, to bless the wider Leopold community and the world.
