THE Northern Bellarine Arts Trail 2019 open studios held over the weekend exceeded organisers\u2019 expectations.
\nCo-ordinators Linda Gallus and Kaye Clancy said the aim of the trail was to network locally and to get artists to meet each other, make friendships and to nurture, and also to create a supportive environment for those who are usually working away in their own studios.
\n\u201cWe were overwhelmed with the number of artists who wanted to be involved, we feel that we have achieved so much.
\n\u201cIt was also great to have the larger venues where artists who don’t have their own studios could show their work.\u201d
\nThe pair said that despite the rainy weather, the arts trail attracted huge numbers of people visiting from far and wide.
\n\u201cVisitors commented on the variety of the artwork and the quality of artworks for sale and how lovely it was to actually visit artists in their homes and in their studios.
\n\u201cWe advertised in many places which paid off as it let people know the trail was being held over the weekend.
\n\u201cWe are looking forward to getting together with the artists to have a debrief and get their feedback so we can make things even better for future arts events.\u201d
