ELITE Taekwondo hosted their fourth annual regional club competition in Geelong late last month.<\/p>\n

The competition welcomed more than 120 competitors of all different ages and abilities from their Elite Taekwondo clubs and other clubs in Melbourne.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

An Elite Taekwondo spokesperson said both the martial art and Elite Taekwondo themselves were becoming more prominent in the region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s absolutely growing. Taekwondo itself is getting a lot more know now in Geelong then it was 10 years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The event was held at Geelong Arena. The competition gave competitors an opportunity to gain experience and further their skills in a safe sparring environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It subsequently helps participants prepare for future state and national competitions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Elite Taekwondo has been operating for more than 15 years. It has dojangs in Geelong and Ocean Grove.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

They look to not only teach taekwondo, but life skills too. They encourage respect among their participants and have the mantra \u201cnever give up\u201d.<\/div>\n
